A buyer trusts an agent more when they know they're not alone โ that there's a brokerage standing behind them. Frontier models that trust as an explicit piece of data, not a line in your bio: every agent can be affiliated with a brokerage, and that affiliation has a status the buyer can actually see.
When you link your profile to a brokerage, that affiliation starts out as self-reported โ you're saying you work there, but no one on the other end has confirmed it yet. The important shift happens when the brokerage confirms the affiliation: from that point on, your profile shows a "Confirmed by brokerage" badge, visible both in the agent directory and on your public page. It's not a minor detail โ it's the difference between saying something and having someone else back it up.
The confirmation badge shows up next to your name, with the same visual weight as identity or license verifications. A buyer comparing two agents with similar listings is going to trust the one with that confirmation visible more โ not because you said so, but because someone with institutional responsibility confirmed it.
If your brokerage doesn't have a profile yet, you can create one directly when you register โ enter the name, office, and your own contact details, and your profile is linked from day one. If a profile already exists, created by another agent, you can search for it by name and claim your affiliation instead of duplicating the business.
A confirmed brokerage can also request to manage existing listings from its affiliated agents โ for example, to keep a property's price and availability current while the original agent is on leave. The agent keeps authorship of the listing, but the brokerage gains management permissions only once both sides confirm it โ never unilaterally.
Institutional trust doesn't replace your individual reputation โ it reinforces it. An agent confirmed by their brokerage, with consistently maintained listings, is the combination that reassures a buyer the most.
If your affiliation is still sitting as self-reported, ask whoever manages your brokerage's profile on Frontier to confirm it. It's a minutes-long step that changes how every buyer who lands on your profile sees you from now on.
